Why does my account need approval?
To protect your clients and meet our payment partner's requirements, every new account gets a quick business check. It usually takes 1 business day, and you can set up services and hours while you wait.
Do I have to use Kashela payments?
Solo Free requires processing cards through Kashela's payment partner. Solo Team and Solo Unlimited work with any payment provider.
Do I need to buy a card terminal?
Not to get started. Kashela runs on the phone, tablet or computer you already have, and we'll help you choose a card reader when you need one.
How are these plans different from salon plans?
Plans for independents focus on booking and simple checkout. They don't include a multi-staff front desk, turn tracking or salon-style payroll. If you run a front desk with a team, see salon pricing.
How is billing handled if I add someone mid-month?
Solo Team is billed by active team members. Adding someone mid-cycle is prorated; removing someone applies from the next cycle.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
If you don't upgrade, your account moves to Solo Free. All your data stays.
Does Kashela store my clients' card numbers?
No. Card numbers and security codes stay in the card terminal and the payment processor. Kashela only receives the amount, tip, transaction ID and last 4 digits for the receipt.
